The popular and fun anime TV series "Bakugan Battle Brawlers" has spawned a variety of toys, including a strategic game and the Gorem, one of the Bakugan Deluxe Monsters. The Gorem is based on Bakugan monsters from the TV show, who look fearsome but use their powers for good. Your child aged four and up can play with this durable, colorful monster completely independent of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers game, or can use it to add excitement to their Bakugan battles (though the monsters are not officially part of the game.)

Children who are fans of "Julie" on the TV show will get especially excited about playing with Gorem, who is Julie's "guardian" Bakugan. Even if your child doesn't watch the show, they'll still love the Gorem figurine, whose powerful, oversized hands and feet move easily into a variety of action poses.

No Rules, Just Fun
No assembly is required for this figurine--just cut it free from the box and it's ready to go! Unlike the Bakugan Battle Brawlers game, which has somewhat complicated rules, this monster figurine can be used however your child likes. If your child is a fan of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers game, he can position Gorem and other figurines around the game play area just for fun; they are not actually part of the game. If your child doesn't own the game, he can easily make up his own games to play with the monsters.

Chunky and sturdy, this figurine doesn't exactly fit in a pocket but it is still lightweight and easy to take to a friend's house. Gorem comes with a detachable shield.

Hours of Monstrous Entertainment
Each monster figurine has its own distinct look and individual powers. Gorem's gigantic hands and feet are clad in heavy-duty armor and can be used lethal weapons. It's very easy to position him in all sorts of cool fighting poses--from extending his frightening fists to the sky, to putting him in a crouch on all fours.

We especially liked how he can stand on his own and how easy it is to move his arms, legs, and torso. We would have liked to see some background information about Gorem included on or in the box, but there was none. Kids who are familiar with the TV show will know all about Gorem already, but others will have to make up their own stories about him or do some sleuthing on the Bakugan Web site. Luckily, kids have great imaginations, and we think this frightening Bakugan with his Darth Vader-style mask and yellow tongue will get the fun times rolling--especially when used with other deluxe monster figurines.
